Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Laurels, I found a commendable balance between luxury and value. Nestled just steps away from St Fagans Natural History Museum and charming gardens, this property served as an excellent base for exploration in the Cardiff area. The hostess, Julie, was amiable and attentive, ensuring I felt welcomed throughout my visit. My room was spacious and tidy, equipped with a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and a private bathroom with well-maintained facilities. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a lovely cooked meal that fueled my adventures-an excellent way to kick-start the day. Free parking onsite is a notable advantage, making access to nearby attractions hassle-free. With a quaint pub a short walk away and Cardiff city center within reach, the Laurels combines great location and comfort with attractive rates, making it a wise choice for both leisure seekers and those interested in Wales's natural and cultural beauty.
